Phase 10

Task: Funding

Accurate mapping of the project plan can help to secure funding for implementation. The informational interviewing and statewide networking during Phase I revealed the availability of funding at the federal and state levels. Use that information to draft a budget that correlates directly to each initiative in the plan. Also, take into consideration how far into the future the funding will extend. Meet with those responsible for addressing public safety as part of their budgetary responsibility to obtain more detail on how the funds will be allocated. Present evidence of the consequences faced if the initiatives are not addressed.

Risk:

  • Lack of financial commitment from the state can severely hamper the long and short term success of each initiative.
